Dishwasher

About the role

Dial is seeking part-time and full-time positions, both on Saturdays and Sundays, for dishwashing and serving lunch and dinner from 11:00am to 7:30pm. Full-time positions also include weekdays from 11:00am to 7:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwasher and ensure proper sanitation of kitchenware including dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and trays.
• Hand wash kitchen items not suitable for the dishwasher.
• Store items in their proper spot and maintain a tidy and organized kitchen.
• Notify manager if dish machine malfunctions or requires maintenance.
• Clean equipment, appliances, storage area, and sinks according to schedule.
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep, item restock, or delivery of clean items when needed.
• Provide customer service to residents to allow a high level of resident satisfaction.
• Bus tables during and after meals and clear tables when residents are finished eating, as requested.
• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment as required by local and state health departments.
• Perform routine preventative cleaning on dish machine according to schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be age 16 or older.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to promote teamwork in providing services to residents, follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations, operate basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn, and work 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down.
• Preferred qualifications include willingness to learn and help others, enjoyment in working with older adults, and some experience in food cleanup or preparation.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Skills

• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations.
• Ability to follow safety protocols.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Pay

• Part-time: Lunch/Dinner 11:00am - 7:30pm (dish) - $12.50/hour
• Full-time: Lunch/Dinner 11:00am - 7:30pm (server) - $14.00/hour
• Lunch/Dinner 11:00am - 7:00pm (server) - $13.50/hour
