Working as a Hotel Restaurant Dishwasher at the Courtyard Houston Rice University offers a rewarding opportunity to join a dynamic hospitality team.

Responsibilities

• Washing & Cleaning Dishes: Scrub, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. Use industrial dishwashers or wash items by hand when necessary.
• Maintaining Kitchen Cleanliness: Keep sinks, dish racks, and workstations clean and organized. Wipe down countertops and kitchen surfaces. Sweep and mop floors to maintain hygiene.
• Handling & Organizing Dishes: Properly stack and store cleaned dishes, utensils, and cookware in their designated areas. Ensure that all kitchen staff have the clean tools they need to cook and serve food.
• Taking Out Trash & Recycling: Empty trash cans, compost bins, and recycling containers regularly. Follow restaurant waste disposal guidelines.
• Following Health & Safety Standards: Wear gloves, aprons, and other protective gear as required. Ensure dishes meet sanitation guidelines to prevent cross-contamination. Report any broken equipment or safety hazards to management.
• Keeping Up with a Fast-Paced Environment: Work quickly and efficiently, especially during busy hours. Stay organized to ensure a smooth workflow for the kitchen team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience with a strong focus on guest satisfaction
• Exceptional ability to manage time effectively and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent skills in engaging with guests and collaborating seamlessly with team members
• Ability to work weekends & holidays
