About the role
Beztak Senior Living is seeking a Dishwasher to join our team. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, cleaning dishes, and ensuring kitchen equipment and utensils are clean and in an orderly condition.
Responsibilities
- Maintains high sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils
- Ensures that the dishwashing area and the entire kitchen are maintained and cleaned to the highest standards
- Sorts and rinses dirty dishes, glasses, tableware, and other cooking utensils and places them in racks to send through the dish machine
- Sorts and stacks clean dishes
- Sweeps and mops floors, fills and empties soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
- Cleans the kitchen refrigerators, ceiling air vents, and other kitchen equipment
- Wipes up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry and clean
- Lifts and carries racks of dishes, glassware, and other utensils
- Provides general assistance to cooks and chefs
- Works in a high-pressure environment, interacting with challenging residents and vendors, handling urgent matters, and resolving conflicts
- Operates a company vehicle or personal vehicle (as required) to perform job duties

Requirements
- One-year experience in a full-service restaurant
- Must be willing and able to drive for work-related purposes as needed
Background Check Process
Beztak completes pre-employment testing in accordance with company policies and all state requirements. This includes criminal background checks, fingerprinting (where applicable), and drug testing.

- Arizona applicants: Must obtain a fingerprint clearance card, pass a TB test, and clear the Adult Protective Services registry
- Michigan applicants: Must take a TB test and complete fingerprinting

Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and climb stairs
- Must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds
Work Environment
- Operates in a kitchen environment, routinely using sinks, dishwashers, and tools to clean kitchen appliances
- Frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals, and cleaning chemicals
- Periodically confined to a vehicle
