Dishwasher

Location: New Orleans, LA • Part-Time

About the role

The Dishwasher performs various kitchen cleaning and storage activities, including dish washing, pot washing, general and equipment cleaning, and storage and rotation of food and supplies. This role also handles janitorial duties in dining services areas such as the Dining Room, Bistro, and other associated dining activity spaces. All food handling, storage, and cleaning activities must comply with sanitary procedures and standards, as well as all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes and pots
• Clean kitchen equipment and general kitchen areas
• Store and rotate food and supplies according to sanitary standards
• Perform janitorial duties in dining rooms, bistros, and other dining service areas
• Comply with all food storage, cleaning, and preparation regulations

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb, or work in confined spaces
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrated good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
