Disassembly Associate - Production - 2nd shift

About the Role

In addition to regular production associate duties, the Slicer Dis-Assembly Associate on the 2nd shift will be responsible for cleaning and dis-assembling slicers and/or butcher knives.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 1:30 PM to 11:50 PM.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Demonstrate competency in the assembly/disassembly process.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude (verified via Mechanical Aptitude Test and observation).
  • Possess a teamwork mentality and desire to help others succeed.
  • Maintain a strong attendance and punctuality record.
  • Follow all safety rules and mandated OSHA regulations.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report all incidents, including near misses, immediately.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of experience in food manufacturing or production environment (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of food safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to follow instructions with ease.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.
  • Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required, including standard of work.

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, or legs to perform job tasks.
  • Must be able to reach above and below shoulder height and move throughout all areas of the facility.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups.
  • Ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job duties.
  • Ability to work in cold (32°F to 45°F) and wet environments with airflow from refrigeration units.
  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Exposure to low-level noise due to proximity to the work area.
  • Exposure to uneven ground (floor angles toward drainage systems).
  • Light machinery operated in the work area.
