Disassembly/Assembly Technician

About the role

This full-time Disassembly/Assembly Technician position is located in Miami, Florida. The role focuses on disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, and tagging aircraft components, as well as identifying and implementing improvements to manufacturing processes with an emphasis on safety, quality, and operational efficiency.

Eligibility Requirement: Only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations.
• Follow approved assembly procedures for component or aircraft structures, consulting internal FAA-approved procedures, original equipment manufacturers (OEM) technical data, and work package instructions.
• Utilize comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
• Apply thorough knowledge of aircraft structural modification and repair, and determine the functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
• Operate unique aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes, and sheers.
• Apply professional technical expertise and guidance to execute complex structures work, including pull holes, match & back drilling, fastener removals, riveting, sleeve bolt drilling, and system, wire, and tube installations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
• Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits as required for assigned work.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies.
• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent, with 1 to 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience assembling aircraft/aerospace parts, components, and/or assemblies using applicable drawings, specifications, quality standards, and manufacturing plans.
• Ability to construct, install, dismantle, relocate, modify, and/or repair OEM equipment of all types.
• Knowledge of wiring schematics and the ability to read manuals to install components.
