Disassembler

The Disassembler Technician disassembles single-phase and pole-mount transformers using hand and power tools, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to company policies. Responsibilities include reading work orders, gathering and inspecting parts and tools, disassembling and sorting transformer components for reuse or scrap, and operating shop and material handling equipment safely. Qualifications include a preferred HS diploma or GED, mechanical and transformer experience, OSHA10 certification, and material handling skills. Key skills encompass safety compliance, reading and interpreting work orders, meeting production goals, ensuring product quality, strong work ethic, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. Physical demands involve lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working in varying temperatures. Ability to learn new roles and work in a fast-paced environment is essential.
