- Build platform-specific growth strategies for each brand and content type, balancing reach, retention, frequency, and monetization.
- Partner closely with sales, editorial, production, social, legal, and product leadership to ensure YouTube is integrated into Sinclair’s broader digital strategy.
- Analyze KPIs such as views, watch time, CTR, retention, subscriber growth, RPM, revenue, and other key metrics to guide overall YouTube strategy.
- Translate platform changes, policy updates, and algorithmic shifts into actionable guidance for teams across the organization.
- Develop monetization strategies that maximize revenue while protecting brand safety, content rights, and long-term channel health.
- Create repeatable operating processes and training that help producers, editors, and channel managers build content that performs well on YouTube.
- Represent Sinclair in conversations with vendors, partners, creators, and internal stakeholders as the lead subject matter expert on YouTube.

- 5+ years of experience working directly with YouTube in a strategy, operations, programming, growth, or monetization role.
- Deep understanding of the YouTube ecosystem, including content ID, rights management, monetization rules, policy enforcement, and audience growth.
- Demonstrated success improving channel performance through better packaging, publishing strategy, analytics, and content optimization.
- Strong fluency with YouTube Analytics and related performance dashboards, with the ability to turn platform data into clear strategy and operating guidance.
- Experience working across editorial, legal, business, sales, and technical teams in a matrixed environment.
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and comfort making decisions in a fast-moving, high-volume content operation.
- Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, with the discipline to build process and the flexibility to respond to platform changes quickly.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience managing a portfolio of YouTube channels at scale.
- Experience in news, podcasts, entertainment, or sports environments a plus.
