Director, Value Engineering - Financial Services

About the role

The Director of Value Engineering (FSI) leads the Financial Services practice for North America, partnering with Sales Leadership to define the regional value agenda and driving end-to-end customer value journeys. This role serves as the Executive Sponsor for key strategic accounts, embedding Celonis as the default transformation platform across the Office of the COO, CIO, and Chief Digital Officer.

Responsibilities

• Identify & Frame Strategic Value
• Partner with C-Level executives to map strategic goals across Banking and Insurance
• Bridge the gap between technical innovation and operational reality
• Design solutions that solve critical business problems
• Create robust ROI models for proposals
• Drive the COO & CTO Agenda
• Ensure solutions address critical business needs
• Manage execution across value chains like Trade Lifecycle, Client Onboarding, and Insurance Claims
• Oversee implementation of STP, Exception Management, and Legacy Mainframe vs. Cloud interaction
• Realize Value (Program Execution)
• Orchestrate complex transformation programs
• Solve systemic challenges in complex environments
• Facilitate high-stakes steering committees for customer portfolio
• Scale Value & Practice Innovation
• Codify best practices into reusable assets
• Act as the senior "Voice of the Customer" for product feedback
• Advocate for specific development needs for G-SIBs and Carriers
• Grow & Lead Talent
• Manage and mentor a diverse FSI team structure
• Develop world-class talent through coaching
• Effectively allocate resources across the North American portfolio

Qualifications

• Executive Leadership Experience: 12+ years, with at least 5+ years in a people-management role within Management Consulting, Value Engineering, or Financial Services Operations
• FSI Domain Fluency: Deep understanding of the Financial Services value chain including Banking and Insurance
• Commercial Acumen: Ability to qualify complex engagements and drive commercial strategy
• Technical Context: Understanding of the modern FSI technology stack and its integration with Process Intelligence
• Value Realization Track Record: History of leading large-scale transformation programs impacting the P&L
• Stakeholder Management: Extensive experience presenting to C-Level executives and navigating complex organizational structures
