Director, Utility Operations & Engineering
About the role
The Director of Utility Operations & Engineering manages the operations, maintenance, and repair of the College's primary utility systems at the Newtown, Perkasie, Bristol, and Croyden campuses. This includes, but is not limited to, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and associated controls; plumbing; electrical; domestic hot and cold water systems; and sanitary and storm water systems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an acceptable indoor environment for the entire campus community, including students, faculty, and staff across all campuses.
- Maintain equipment and controls that directly impact the indoor environment.
- Supervise a 24/7 operation with a team of seven across three shifts; manage staffing and work assignments.
- Evaluate capital equipment for upgrades or replacement.
- Prepare yearly operational and capital budget for submission.
- Attend meetings as needed and ensure compliance with all workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in related field preferred. (In lieu of degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of mechanical experience and 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Mechanical Systems Knowledge.
- Knowledge of Sustainability and Energy Management.
- BAS system knowledge.
