Director, Translational Pharmacology

Responsibilities

• Serve as a preclinical biology lead for business development evaluations of therapeutics at all stages
• Audit therapeutic rationale, mechanisms of action, and translational relevance for potential opportunities
• Review nonclinical and clinical data to identify key value drivers and risks
• Collaborate with Business Development on scientific assessment reports and diligence activities
• Support the identification of critical experiments to reduce scientific uncertainty for drug candidates
• Contribute to ongoing translational pharmacology activities for internal programs

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent advanced degree in Pharmacology, Biology, or related field preferred
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the biopharmaceutical industry; or 6 years with an advanced degree
• Strong understanding of pharmacology principles in nonclinical and clinical development settings
• Proven commitment to patient-centered evaluation and decision-making in scientific assessments
• Experience in evaluating drug candidates and translational strategies in the rare disease domain
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with strong organizational abilities
