For our client, we are seeking a Director, Trade Compliance to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will lead a global trade compliance function supporting growth across multiple regions and complex cross-border operations. The ideal candidate will build scalable programs that strengthen export controls, customs compliance, and trade facilitation while enabling the business to move efficiently and responsibly. This is a highly visible leadership position that partners with senior leaders to shape strategy, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $167,100 – $247,310 annually Responsibilities Lead and manage a global team of 14+ trade compliance professionals across multiple regions Design and build a scalable trade compliance program aligned with business growth Operationalize trade compliance programs ensuring compliance with export controls and regulations Oversee import, customs, and trade facilitation compliance, including duty-mitigation strategies Serve as the point of escalation for classification determinations (ECCN and HTS) Own metrics and KPIs to report on trade compliance performance to senior leadership Conduct compliance investigations and drive continuous monitoring and corrective action Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Juris Doctorate or advanced degree is a plus Licensed customs broker is preferred Extensive hands-on experience in trade compliance covering transactions, technology transfer, and tariffs Proven track record managing and scaling global trade compliance teams, ideally in a high-growth setting Deep expertise in classification (ECCN/HTS) and program management, particularly in the semiconductor industry Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and political savviness Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex regulatory concepts Benefits Employee stock purchase plan with a 2-year look back period Family support programs to help balance work-life commitments Robust mental health resources for emotional well-being Recognition programs to celebrate contributions and milestones Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
