About the role
This role is a Director, Total Rewards position within Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer. The role reports into corporate headquarters in Germantown, WI and operates on an in-office/hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes the organization’s total rewards strategy (Compensation, HRIS, and Benefits), ensuring alignment with business objectives and company culture.
- Led and mentors a team of professionals in the areas of compensation, benefits, and HRIS.
- Designs and manages competitive salary structures, incentive plans, and equity programs.
- Conducts market benchmarking and pay equity analyses to maintain competitiveness and compliance.
- Evaluates, designs, and manages employee benefit programs, including health, wellness, retirement, and other ancillary benefits.
- Ensures compliance with legal requirements and manages relationships with external vendors and brokers.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in developing and managing complex total rewards strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- PREFERRED: Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or other similar certification or training.
- Demonstrated ability to drive positive employee experience utilizing Total Rewards programs.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on active listening.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify issues, develop multiple solutions, and successfully present the recommended course of action to achieve target return on investment.
- Occasional domestic travel.
