About the role
The Director of Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) is a field-based commercial leadership role responsible for leading a team of TLLs to develop and execute Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement strategies for the US launch of envudeucitinib for Psoriasis.
Responsibilities
- Build, lead and manage a team of TLL reports with the responsibility for coaching, developing, assessing performance, delegation, prioritization and fostering a collaborative and high performing culture.
- Collaborate with the Marketing leadership team to align TLL activities with organizational priorities and strategic initiatives.
- Set the direction and manage the cross functional collaboration and coordination of the TLL team with key stakeholders for development and execution of key brand activities and tactics.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify skill gaps, and support TLL development through coaching, training, and career growth opportunities.
- Design and implement an engagement strategy in partnership with Marketing and other key stakeholders to guide interactions between the TLL team and KOLs.
- Oversee the identification, establishment, and maintenance of the TLL thought leader community, ensuring alignment with Medical Affairs and other key stakeholders.
- Drive development and execution of key strategies and tactics to high standards whilst delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Initiates and pursues opportunities for commercial engagement at national and regional conferences, key advocacy or healthcare stakeholder meetings, and represent Alumis at these events.
- Cultivate strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and new KOLs to gather feedback on market dynamics, competitive landscape, marketing strategy, and tactical execution.
- Serve as a marketing resource and point of contact for KOLs.
- Represent the company at scientific congresses, advisory boards, speaker bureau events and other relevant forums to enhance scientific and therapeutic understanding.
- Ensure all TLL activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory, ethical, and company standards, HIPAA regulations.
- Provide regular updates to Marketing management on team progress, KOL engagement, and other key initiatives, including metrics on impact and outcomes.
- Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and emerging trends in dermatology, rheumatology, and neurology, ensuring TLL activities reflect the latest scientific advancements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in TLL or related roles, with leadership experience in managing a team of TLLs.
- Deep experience in therapeutic area of medical dermatology.
- In-depth knowledge of medical dermatology, including clinical practice, research, and evolving treatment paradigms.
- Proven track record of successful relationship-building with KOLs, HCPs, and key stakeholders within the medical community.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with medical affairs, clinical, and other business functions.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
- Previous experience working in a leadership role within a biopharmaceutical company or a global pharmaceutical organization.
- Comfort at presenting team activities to C-suite.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory and compliance requirements, scientific data dissemination, and account or relationship management.
- Ability to translate information including scientific, into actionable insights for diverse audiences, including KOLs, healthcare professionals, and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, analytical and decision-making skills.
- Agile, solutions-oriented leader with a strong bias for action.

Pay
This position is compensated at a salary range of $215,000 - $260,000 USD annually.
Schedule
The position is primarily remote with travel expected. Travel is estimated to be 50-75% of the time.
