Director, Telemedicine

About the role

This role will oversee our eICU program, Centralized Telemetry Monitoring (CTM) and Virtual Patient Safety Monitoring (VPSM) across the system. Provides leadership, strategic planning, administrative and operational direction and coordination. Works collaboratively with affiliates to ensure operational effectiveness, financial accountability, quality patient care and physician, patient satisfaction. Additionally, plays an integral role in long-term business planning and development of new participating sites to include ongoing research and program evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, strategic planning, administrative and operational direction for eICU, CTM, and VPSM programs
• Ensure operational effectiveness, financial accountability, and quality patient care
• Collaborate with affiliates to enhance physician and patient satisfaction
• Lead long-term business planning and development of new participating sites
• Oversee ongoing research and program evaluation
• Manage physician relations and identify marketing opportunities
• Supervise personnel and prepare operating budgets
• Plan and manage projects within a complex healthcare environment
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements (JCHO, DHS, Title 22)
• Apply adult education principles in leadership and training
• Work with confidential information and present information effectively
• Utilize computer skills to support nursing information systems

Requirements

• Master's in Nursing (MSN)
• Active California RN license
• 12 years of recent relevant experience
• Critical care leadership experience in a hospital setting
• Experience leading complex healthcare operations
• Proven experience with physician relations, marketing, supervision, and personnel management
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of hospital and medical staff organization and structure
• Fluency in medical terminology, including diagnostic and operative procedures
• Current knowledge of State, Federal, and professional industry standards in healthcare
• Conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a complex environment
• Tact, diplomacy, and ability to work with diverse groups at all organizational levels
• Leadership and team skills to work cooperatively across facilities

Pay

Pay range is $200,096.00 to $320,153.60 annual salary. The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program.
