About the role
This position combines technical and leadership responsibilities, shaping the future of Danger Devices in a fast-growing dynamic wireless market segment across various RF spaces, including but not limited to RF components designed for LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, and other RF standards. You will define and grow connectivity front-end modules and other RF component portfolios to deliver differentiation, expand market share, and generate revenue. Additionally, you will lead and grow system-level analysis and technical customer support.
Responsibilities
- Define new products and roadmaps for multiple wireless market segments such as Wi-Fi, 5G, and others.
- Translate system-level requirements into RF component specifications.
- Generate business cases, including marketing specification documents, detailed product specifications, go-to-market plans, and technical customer support plans.
- Perform market segment TAM/SAM, trend analysis, technical and cost competitive analysis, and assess market dynamics.
- Build strategic business and technical partnerships with chipset providers, OEMs, and ODMs.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to provide clear technical and marketing feedback.
- Demonstrate technical skills, including experience and thorough understanding of Wi-Fi system architecture (HW/SW), RF/Transceiver component integration, system validation, and manufacturing.
- Grow local and worldwide technical marketing and technical sales.
- Exhibit superior communication skills: interpersonal, written, and presentation.
- Demonstrate superior organizational skills: notes, formal documentation, task assignment.
- Break down complex, multifaceted programs and projects into manageable pieces, organize cross-functionally, and drive execution.
- Participate in trade shows and industry-shaping conferences.
Requirements
- M.B.A. or M.S.E.E. with 5 to 10 years of technical marketing or business development experience in the semiconductor industry.
- RF technical background with experience in RF front-end, systems integration, and applications engineering support.
- RF experience with transceivers, power amplifiers, switches, and other RF components.
- Understanding of Wi-Fi, 5G, LTE, WCDMA, CDMA, and GSM/GPRS/EDGE systems and standards.
- Finance and marketing fundamentals to evaluate business opportunities.
- Self-driven and directed, with a strong sense of ownership.
- Business acumen and experience in a customer-facing role.
- Ability to analyze wireless market segment reports and relate them to market and product development dynamics.
- Strong customer orientation, relationship-building, and effectiveness.
- Ability to travel globally up to 10% of the time.
- Existing relationships with chipset partners, customers, or ODMs is a plus.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin is preferred.
