Director, Technical Management

For our client, a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space, we are seeking a Director of Technical Management to lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. This role involves working across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Technical Management division across key functional areas
• Set technical standards and oversee formula development with contract manufacturers
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and labeling requirements in domestic and international markets
• Partner with compliance teams on quality management systems and audits
• Oversee product safety monitoring and consumer complaint reporting
• Lead packaging and labeling compliance with FDA and international standards
• Collaborate on new product concepts, providing technical feasibility input

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of dietary supplement, OTC, or nutraceutical regulations (FDA, cGMP, DSHEA, FTC labeling)
• Proven experience in enhancing technical/regulatory functions in a consumer product company
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and supplier quality agreements
• Leadership experience in developing technical professionals and managing a technical team
• Ability to operate in a hybrid environment—building new processes while managing ongoing operations
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills within product development and commercial teams

Pay

$186,652 – $235,000 annually
