About the role
The Supply Chain Director will lead sourcing strategy and supplier management for Optical Transceivers and Fiber, supporting the rapid growth of Oracle's global cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Lead sourcing strategy and supplier management for Optical Transceivers and Fiber across Oracle's global cloud infrastructure.
Manage and develop a team of Sourcing Managers, providing leadership, coaching, and career development.
Ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials to meet business and customer requirements.
Drive supplier performance, including capacity planning, delivery, quality, cost management, and risk mitigation.
Develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve supply continuity, reduce costs, and support long-term business objectives.
Partner with Planning, Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams to align supply chain activities with demand forecasts and infrastructure deployment plans.
Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies that balance supply availability, working capital, and operational efficiency.
Lead efforts to identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including capacity constraints, component shortages, and supplier-related issues.
Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and material management processes that improve scalability and operational effectiveness.
Capture global procurement activities and supplier engagement across multiple regions.
Partner with Finance to manage inventory investments, carrying costs, and supply chain financial performance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing, planning, inventory management, and supplier operations.
Build strong executive-level relationships with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain management, or related functions.
5+ years of experience leading and developing teams.
Experience managing strategic supplier relationships and complex supply chains.
Demonstrated success driving operational improvements and delivering business results.
