Nscale is the GPU cloud engineered for AI, providing cost-effective, high-performance infrastructure for AI start-ups and large enterprise customers. We enable AI-focused companies to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development, bolstering technical capabilities, and supporting strategic business outcomes such as cost management, rapid innovation, and environmental responsibility.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Director of Supply Chain Engineering to build the systems that take Nscale from demand signal to deployed compute. This role sits within Corporate Technology and reports to the SVP of Corporate Technology, partnering closely with Data Center and AI Infrastructure teams, as well as Finance, Procurement, and Operations. You’ll design, build, and deploy the systems, platforms, and workflows spanning demand signal, hardware configuration and BOM development, supplier and ODM coordination, logistics and staging, spare inventory management, and more. You won’t run supply chain operations or own procurement—you’ll work alongside those owners and own how the work is represented in software. Success means this work runs on systems rather than spreadsheets, with shared, accurate data and automation handling routine coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Platform Ownership & Roadmap
    • Own the supply chain technology stack end-to-end, including strategy, implementation, platform health, configuration, integrations, upgrades, and roadmap planning.
    • Identify capability gaps and lead the evaluation, procurement, and implementation of new tools.
    • Build and maintain a templated, repeatable deployment model for supply chain systems across data centers and regions.
  • Integration & Data Architecture
    • Define and govern integration architecture across supply chain, finance, procurement, logistics, and infrastructure platforms.
    • Ensure reliable data exchange and auditability across connected systems.
    • Collaboratively define the data model and maintain data integrity across platforms.
    • Design workflows that connect each stage of the supply chain so one team’s output becomes another team’s reliable input.
  • Automation & Workflow Engineering
    • Build systems and workflows spanning demand signals, hardware configuration, BOM development, supplier and ODM coordination, logistics, staging, and spare inventory management.
    • Replace spreadsheet-based processes and manual coordination with scalable systems, automation, and agentic workflows.
    • Ensure changes propagate across teams and systems without unnecessary manual intervention.
  • Stakeholder & Vendor Management
    • Serve as the primary technology partner for supply chain technology across Data Center, AI Infrastructure, Finance, Procurement, and Operations.
    • Manage competing demands across teams and regions while maintaining clear priorities and governance.
    • Own vendor relationships, contract performance, and platform renewals for purchased systems and services, applying a total-cost-of-ownership lens.
    • Align cross-functional stakeholders around shared standards and scalable ways of working.
  • KPIs
    • Adoption of shared systems over spreadsheet-based processes.
    • Accuracy and integrity of cross-platform supply chain data.
    • Reliability of integrations and change propagation.
    • Speed from hardware demand signal to live compute.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain technology, enterprise systems, or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years building supply chain or supply chain-adjacent technology in a complex operational environment.
  • 3+ years deploying technology systems across multiple sites or regions.
  • Functional experience with platforms supporting source-to-contract, BOM management, asset tracking, procure-to-pay platforms, and ERP systems.
  • Experience in data center, hardware infrastructure, or GPU/AI compute supply chains.
  • Proven ability to manage competing stakeholder demands while maintaining clear standards.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with DCIM/IPAM tooling and cross-border hardware logistics.
  • Experience supporting M&A integration or global expansion from a systems perspective.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive US compensation package (base + bonus + equity), with performance reviews every 12 months.
  • Opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing AI infrastructure companies and shape how global AI capacity is planned and deployed.
  • Dynamic progression plan tailored to your ambitions, with support for leading critical cross-functional initiatives.
  • Human-first flexibility: Autonomy to shape your day around life’s moments while delivering results.

The base salary range for this position is $160,000 USD - $270,000 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related factors such as skill set, experience, education, and location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for bonus, equity, and/or commission programs.
