Director, Supplier Quality
About the role
The Director of Global Supplier Quality leads teams to ensure supplier quality compliance to G&W Electric specifications and objectives. This position works with cross-functional teams to ensure overall quality compliance of G&W Electric operations to all ISO and regulatory requirements as part of the Global Quality team. Based out of Bolingbrook, IL, this role collaborates with G&W Electric facilities worldwide on standardizing best practices and improving overall quality performance from engineering concepts through the customer life cycle with a focus on supplier quality management.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the roadmap to achieve the G&W Electric long-term supplier quality vision.
Develop and execute Quality strategies in support of New Product Introduction (NPI) that satisfy near term demands of development programs and support long term vision of transitioning to full rate production.
Ensure supplier risk management, supplier qualification, effective PPAP process implementation and oversight.
Lead the teams in leveraging quality best practices to drive supplier quality issues resolution.
Evaluate organizational design and recommend improvements to optimize resources.
Prepare management reports to review performance of all supplier performance and cost of quality.
Drive use of standardized lean & quality tools, share best practices, and benchmark world class companies to achieve a higher level of Operational Excellence.
Manage Capital, Point of Control, and Expense budgets associated with Supplier Quality global operations and improvements.
Support strong Environmental, Health, and Safety culture with the team by following all safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
Capture and coordinate the execution of company business initiatives with cross functional team.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or related Engineering field.
15+ years total experience, 6+ years management experience with supplier quality, quality and manufacturing.
Problem solving skills with experience using root cause analysis techniques, with examples.
Demonstrated strategic leadership accountability.
Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of the organization structure.
Experience developing operational yield and process control tracking.
Hands-on, collaborative leader committed to team development and performance.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in technical or business.
Leverage Lean Six Sigma, Red X, or other problem-solving certification.
Previous development and execution of global quality initiatives.

Benefits
Typical pay range is $159,435 – 211,180 annually. Pay is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications. This position is eligible for participation in our Quarterly Incentive Pay Program.
