Director Supplier Quality Assurance

For a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space, we are seeking a Director of Supplier Quality Assurance to manage sourcing and supplier priorities that improve value, reliability, and operational performance. Partner with finance, operations, legal, and business stakeholders to negotiate effectively, manage vendors, and support better purchasing decisions. This role offers the opportunity to improve cost discipline, supplier performance, and scalable execution processes.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier qualification and performance assessments to ensure compliance with standards
• Oversee independent assessments of supplier quality throughout the acquisition process
• Implement APQP and control processes across suppliers
• Collaborate with various departments to optimize supplier execution and meet goals
• Manage resolution of high-risk supplier issues via RCCA initiatives
• Represent the company on corporate performance teams translating initiatives into supplier-level actions
• Develop and mentor a diverse team to enhance supplier capability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 14+ years in supplier quality or related fields
• Proficient in APQP, statistical process controls, and RCCA methodologies with 14+ years of experience
• Experience in complex industries like aerospace and defense
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring technical teams
• U.S. citizenship required for access to sensitive information

Pay

$186,200 – $353,800 annually
