The Strategy and Transformation Office is at the forefront of this mission, developing and executing innovative plans to achieve these goals through our Enterprise Strategy known as Living Health.

The Director will be an integral part of the leadership team dedicated to making Living Health a reality, collaborating with senior-most executives and stakeholders across the organization to assist in the development and improvement of key enterprise strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead a portfolio of strategy projects from end-to-end, including scoping the project, developing workplans, staffing workstreams, leading problem solving and solutioning, developing materials, building client relationships, influencing leadership direction, and presenting results to executive leadership.
Develop and grow a small team of strategists, including ongoing performance management and mentorship.
Improve how the team works, creating actionable improvement plans, supporting general office management to ensure team effectiveness and satisfaction.
Perform management responsibilities, including hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management, and staff productivity.
Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control the day-to-day operations of the department, developing and implementing policies and programs as necessary.
Work with business/market owners to identify key business issues, apply the right analytical framework, develop solutions and recommendations, represent findings to stakeholders, and own the outcome.
Manage major strategy projects with the help of internal or external strategy consulting resources.
Support the Enterprise Strategy office in development of the overall Enterprise Focus 5 strategy portfolio and cross-enterprise strategies as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Economics, or related discipline or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company.
3 years of experience in a management or leadership role.
3 years of experience as a consultant/client-facing member of services business, or 4 years of strategy experience.
2 years of experience in a healthcare-related field, preferably inside a health or hospital system or health plan.

Work Environment

This position is based out of the Pittsburgh (or Buffalo) office with a minimum 3-day per week in-office requirement, Tuesday through Thursday.

Travel requirement: 0% - 25%.
