About the Company

PactFi provides secure, end-to-end, operational infrastructure for managing complex private credit transactions. Our web-based application brings together all parties involved in such transactions to efficiently allocate capital, complete KYC, share documents, manage funds flow, and more. The platform is secured to a bank-grade standard, with SOC 2 Type 2 attestation. PactFi was developed in close partnership with two of the industry's largest players, both top 3 in the private credit space by size (AUM) and deal activity.

Private asset markets (PE, Private Credit, VC, Real Estate) have grown 10x to $9.8T in AUM over the past decade and are projected to reach $17T in the next five years. However, digital infrastructure has not kept pace, with most of the market operating on error-prone, internal-only software solutions.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Director, Strategic Accounts to own and deepen relationships with our institutional clients in the private credit space. As a core member of our Business Development team, you'll take the handoff from our Account Executives—owning the client relationship and ensuring every account reaches its full potential. This is a land-and-expand role: once we win a client, you’re responsible for retention, growth, and maximizing value over time.

You’ll be accountable for retention, attrition, and expansion across your book, leveraging relationships, data, and product knowledge to deliver on all three. While prior experience in private credit isn’t required, you should quickly grasp new markets, ask the right questions, and earn credibility with sophisticated investors through preparation and commercial instinct.

Responsibilities

  • Client Relationships & Engagement
    • Serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of private credit clients, building deep relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
    • Lead Executive Business Reviews and joint business planning sessions, connecting our product capabilities to each client’s evolving investment objectives.
    • Navigate high-pressure conversations with credibility—whether managing escalations, negotiating renewals, or presenting.
  • Retention, Adoption & Growth
    • Own the full post-sale client lifecycle—driving product adoption, deepening engagement across PactFi’s suite, and identifying expansion opportunities.
    • Monitor client performance and health metrics proactively, addressing risks and surfacing opportunities before they become issues.
    • Partner with clients to ensure they fully activate and generate value from the platform efficiently.
  • Strategy & Operations
    • Use data, structured analysis, and AI-enabled tools to identify growth opportunities and optimize outcomes across your portfolio.
    • Build and maintain account plans reflecting each client’s strategic priorities, stakeholders, and near-term opportunities.
    • Develop a prioritization framework for your portfolio based on revenue potential, engagement depth, and expansion opportunity.

Requirements

  • Experience
    • 10+ years in account management, client success, investment banking, consulting, or a related client-facing role within financial services—alternatives, private credit, asset management, or fintech serving institutional clients.
    • Proven track record managing senior-level relationships with institutional investors, asset managers, or sophisticated financial counterparties.
    • Experience operating in a post-sale capacity, owning client outcomes after handoff from sales or business development.
    • Familiarity with private credit markets, alternative investments, or investment data and analytics platforms is a strong plus.
  • Skills & Capabilities
    • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills—able to build trust quickly with senior investment professionals and handle difficult conversations with composure.
    • Analytical and data-driven approach to account management; uses performance data and structured frameworks to guide priorities.
    • Strong organizational and program management skills to manage multiple complex accounts simultaneously.
    • Comfortable leveraging technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and client engagement.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset—takes ownership, operates well in ambiguity, and thrives in fast-moving environments.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary + equity.
  • Healthcare coverage.
  • 401k.
