Director/Sr Director Medical Communications & Capabilities

This role will support revenue growth through customer focus, relationship development, and disciplined commercial execution. You will collaborate with sales, customer, product, and operational partners to identify opportunities, solve problems, and improve outcomes. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen market execution, customer relationships, and measurable business results within a life sciences environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning for medical communications including content and education initiatives
• Develop insight collection initiatives and collaborate on publications with stakeholders
• Maintain knowledge of medical communications trends and core deliverables
• Oversee congress planning, including booth design and scientific insights collection
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement medical communications initiatives
• Engage with external stakeholders for medical communication activities
• Establish internal scientific training and grant review processes

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred; significant medical experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree
• 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical communications, including 3 years in medical affairs
• Strong scientific acumen with emphasis on precision therapeutics; experience in GI or lung cancers preferred
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a focus on building trust and collaboration
• Agility to work across diverse therapeutic areas in a dynamic biotech environment
• Proven track record of decision-making, prioritization, and addressing objectives effectively
• Experience in budget management and vendor partnerships

Pay

$230,000 – $300,000 annually
