Responsibilities

• Create a strategic vision for Software Engineering at the company
• Lead the delivery of high-quality software solutions across multiple platforms
• Develop and mentor managers and technical leaders within distributed teams
• Enhance team throughput and productivity with AI development tools
• Establish and govern the architectural direction for software products
• Balance workforce dynamics to optimize capacity and cost
• Collaborate with Product Management to align software products with business goals
• Ensure timely delivery of quality software with a focus on security
• Set quarterly objectives for teams aligned with business priorities
• Evangelize the company’s processes and frameworks within development teams
• Communicate project progress and risks effectively to leadership
• Participate in cross-functional technology leadership activities
• Respond to customer needs and manage incidents effectively
• Cultivate a minimum viable product (MVP) delivery mindset across teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles
• Experience managing software architects and developing architectural talent
• Hands-on experience with modern AI development tools and improving team productivity
• Experience delivering customer-facing applications and financial systems
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and Agile methodologies
• Proficient in managing blended teams of full-time and contract workers

Pay

$150,000 – $180,000 annually
