For a leader in the Information Technology space, we are seeking a Director of Software Engineering (Infrastructure) to lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. This role involves collaborating across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture, execution quality, and long-term technology capabilities.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a global Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team for 24x7 coverage
- Oversee operations center functions and incident response for mission-critical software
- Ensure and maintain high availability (4-9's uptime) across the software
- Manage releases and orchestrate resilient processes for microservices
- Conduct service capacity planning and performance analysis to optimize systems
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure application readiness and scalability from launch
- Implement high-performance practices for uptime, reliability, and security across environments
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of software engineering experience, with 7+ years in a leadership role overseeing 50+ engineers
- 7+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure infrastructure and services
- 5+ years managing and deploying enterprise applications in the cloud
- 3+ years of experience developing CI/CD pipelines and cloud-centric tools
- High emotional intelligence (EQ) and dedication to building a diverse and inclusive team

Pay
$263,800 – $395,600 annually
