Director, Software Engineering - Code Data
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Product Engineering, the Director, Content Engineering leads the technology organization for GHX’s Content Engineering portfolio. This role is responsible for guiding geo-distributed engineering teams to deliver key solutions in the Content space, focusing on Content Workbench, Price Workbench, and Contract Management services.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction, planning, and execution for Content Engineering leaders and teams to deliver business- and customer-focused roadmaps.
- Bring deep domain expertise and hands-on experience in Software Engineering, Data products, AI in SDLC, and System architecture, preferably in the Supply Chain domain.
- Drive cloud-based SaaS services, API & UI frameworks, and Microservice architectures, with hands-on experience in GenAI and Agentic Frameworks.
- Lead and mentor geo-distributed leaders, building high-performance cross-geo organizations.
- Develop relationships at all levels of the organization as a trusted leader with strong communication skills.
- Excel in strategy development, including project management, analysis, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, consensus-building, and people development.
- Understand financial impacts and manage budgetary decisions for technology solutions while forecasting future technology practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- 15+ years of Software Engineering experience in a SaaS environment.
- 7+ years of experience in an Engineering Leadership role.
- Experience managing large teams (40+ people) and scaling a business based on available resources.
- Technical strength in cloud architectures, application architecture, engineering processes, and SDLC.
- Experience with offshore development.
Skills
- Experience building and leading geo-distributed teams to deliver critical roadmap items.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor leaders and managers in building high-performance organizations.
- Deep domain expertise in Data, SaaS, and System Architecture.
- Strong experience in building mission-critical SaaS/Cloud-based services.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional partners and executives.
- Experience with high-availability architecture and design for mission-critical applications.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines that include security scans, code quality scans, unit testing, and automated testing.

Pay
Estimated salary: $150,000 - $214,000 plus bonus.
