Director, Software Engineer Finance Tech - (Remote Eligible)

Lead, Manage, and Grow Teams

You will lead, manage, and grow multiple forward-thinking teams of software, data, and platform engineers. You will mentor and guide the professional and technical development of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation.

Partner with Cross-functional Teams

You will partner with product managers, data scientists, and system architects to translate complex business strategies into executable technical intent.

Continuous Improvement

You will continuously elevate engineering practices, pioneering spec-driven and intent-driven architectures to minimize friction and maximize build quality.

Design and Implement Scalable Solutions

You will design, implement, and support scalable backend solutions, effectively integrating custom data pipelines with COTS platforms and custom software capabilities, using advanced CI/CD frameworks.

Engineer High-availability Systems

You will lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of analytics engines and data infrastructure.

Stay Ahead of Tech Trends

You will bring a passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with emerging agentic frameworks, participating in technology communities, and mentoring members of the broader engineering ecosystem.

Innovate and Collaborate

You will encourage innovation, the implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-the-box thinking, and highly autonomous, distributed teamwork. You will collaborate across engineering organizations to optimize system throughput, streamline complex dependencies, and accelerate the delivery of intelligent capabilities.

Deploy Cloud-Native Solutions

You will lead efforts to design and deploy highly available, cloud-native solutions, data systems, and automated frameworks into AWS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 7 years of experience in software engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in people management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Master’s Degree in Software Engineering
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering
• 5+ years of experience in Agile practices
• Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity, utilizing capabilities beyond basic code completion
