Director, Software Development Engineering - Workforce Governance

For our client, a leader in the Information Technology space, we are seeking a Director of Software Development Engineering to advance people and talent initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, and employee experience.

About the role

You will collaborate with business leaders, HR partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to align workforce priorities with business objectives. The position offers the opportunity to influence culture, talent strategy, and scalable people operations within a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams for governance solutions on the company Platform and Fastpath Assure
• Oversee development and implementation strategy for key capabilities
• Align development strategies with overall business objectives
• Provide technical oversight for quality and scalability
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and challenges
• Mentor engineering teams and oversee hiring and performance evaluations
• Collaborate with engineering leaders and Product Managers on key initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience managing Agile Sprint teams
• 8+ years of professional experience in software development
• Strong technical and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Pay

$150,000 – $180,000 annually
