About the role
We’re looking for a strategic, culturally fluent Director of Social & Content to lead how our brands show up across social platforms and content-driven channels. This role owns the vision, strategy, and standards for social storytelling—ensuring our brands are relevant, engaging, and effective across platforms and audiences.
Responsibilities
- Own the social and content strategy across brands, defining how each brand shows up across platforms
- Set the vision for platform strategy, content pillars, voice, and storytelling framework
- Provide creative direction and feedback across social content, campaigns, and creator-led initiatives
- Collaborate with Brand Managers to align social and content strategy with brand priorities, launches, and campaigns
- Partner closely with copy, design, and video teams to ensure content is compelling, on-brand, and optimized for each platform
- Establish best practices for community engagement, moderation, and brand-safe interactions
- Define success metrics and reporting frameworks for social and content performance; translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Identify opportunities to integrate social content with PR moments, influencer partnerships, and lifecycle programs
- Stay ahead of platform trends, cultural moments, and emerging formats, bringing fresh thinking into the organization
- Evaluate tools, workflows, and external partners to support scalable execution
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in social media, content strategy, or brand marketing
- Proven experience owning social and content strategy for a brand or portfolio of brands
- Agency or high-growth, multi-brand environment experience strongly preferred
- Strong creative judgment with the ability to elevate content quality and consistency
- Deep understanding of major social platforms, content formats, and creator ecosystems
- Data-informed mindset with the ability to balance performance insights and brand storytelling
- Comfortable influencing cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complexity at scale
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field
- Experience managing multiple social media accounts or campaigns
- Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and other digital marketing strategies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay
The Pay Range For This Role Is 155,000 - 185,000 USD per year(Softline HQ)
