You will serve as a key member of the global operations leadership team, driving large-scale business transformations, capital planning, and long-term capacity strategy while championing a world-class culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. This position reports directly to the SVP of Global Operations and oversees a multi-functional organization, including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the site’s long-term strategic roadmap to support business growth, new product introductions, and manufacturing capacity expansion.
  • Executive Talent Management: Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing leadership team. Foster a culture of inclusion, accountability, and professional growth across the entire site workforce.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives. Drive the harmonization and standardization of manufacturing processes across all value streams to maximize efficiency and quality.
  • Financial Stewardship: Own the site P&L, including operational budgets, capital expenditures, and cost-reduction initiatives. Deliver measurable improvements in labor productivity, material efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Customer & Commercial Alignment: Ensure production plans consistently meet or exceed customer demand. Steer site on-time delivery (OTD) to exceed 98% while maintaining the highest service standards.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Serve as the senior-most accountable leader for site safety, environmental health, and regulatory compliance. Ensure all operations adhere to FDA, ISO, and other applicable global standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with R&D, commercial, and global supply chain teams to align operational capabilities with business objectives. Represent the site in executive and board-level discussions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science or engineering (Master’s/MBA strongly preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain management, with at least 5-7 years of senior leadership experience (Director-level or above).
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale operational transformations and managing complex, multi-shift manufacturing facilities (biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device industries strongly preferred).
  • Deep expertise in lean methodologies, six sigma, and continuous improvement frameworks (e.g., 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage P&L, capital budgets, and drive significant cost reductions while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Experience in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at the C-suite level.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
