Director, Security Engineering

Location: Remote – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $180,000 – $250,000 annually

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing security engineering team
• Define technical strategy and roadmap for security platforms
• Oversee design and lifecycle management of key security technologies
• Implement AI applications to enhance security engineering operations
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex technical designs and issues
• Engage directly with customers to map requirements to technical solutions
• Drive automation and continuous improvement across engineering functions

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience leading technical teams at the Director level or higher
• Strong understanding of enterprise security architectures like SIEM and EDR/XDR
• Experience in complex enterprise or multi-customer environments
• Proven ability to build and mentor high-performing teams
