For our client, a leader in the Information Technology space, we are seeking a Director of Sales Compensation Design & Administration to join their team. This role will own compensation, benefits, and rewards programs that help attract, retain, and motivate talent at scale. You will partner with sales leadership, HR centers of excellence, and cross-functional stakeholders to align talent priorities with commercial execution. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen pay practices, improve program governance, and create more consistent outcomes across the organization within a technology-driven environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Maintain fluency in GTM strategy and sales organizational structure
- Assess alignment of compensation structures with GTM strategy
- Act as a liaison between Sales Operations, leadership, Finance, and Total Rewards
- Design and administer competitive sales compensation plans aligned to revenue goals
- Lead annual refresh cycles for sales compensation plans and ensure compliance
- Manage the incentive compensation management platform and optimize system performance
- Build and lead a team for sales compensation design and administration
- Provide insights to leadership on plan performance and communicate complex topics effectively
Qualifications
- 10+ years in sales compensation or related HR/Finance roles with sales exposure
- Proven experience designing and administering sales compensation plans at scale
- Hands-on with incentive compensation management (ICM) platforms like Xactly or Varicent
- Demonstrated leadership in building and managing high-performing teams
- Strong capabilities in organizational design and talent assessment
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management within matrix structures
- Familiarity with AI tools and governance frameworks is a plus
Pay
$148,011 – $217,082 annually
