About the role
The Director of Sales – Aftermarket Americas (OES) is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing sales strategies for assigned global OEM customers across North America. This role ensures the achievement of short and long-term sales objectives, drives profitable growth, and leads a high-performing team of Key Account Managers in close collaboration with the Sr. Vice President, Automotive Aftermarket Americas.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement North American sales strategies for defined global customers to achieve M+H short- and long-term sales objectives for Automotive Aftermarket OES.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with customer, market, and product strategies.
- Ensure full alignment with global sales strategy, implementing regional adaptations where required.
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with assigned OEM customers.
- Lead pricing strategy development and execution in collaboration with the Sr. VP Automotive Aftermarket Americas.
- Negotiate long-term commercial agreements and contracts, ensuring alignment with financial, operational, and strategic goals.
- Coordinate and oversee all customer activities across the North American region.
- Own and monitor US and Mexico sales performance for the assigned customer groups.
- Review key performance indicators regularly and implement corrective measures where targets are at risk.
- Plan, manage, and control the cost and sales budget within the area of responsibility.
- Initiate and steer corrective actions to address deviations from planned objectives.
- Monitor market, customer, and industry trends to ensure competitiveness and proactive strategy adjustment.
- Analyze competitor activities, pricing, and positioning.
- Forecast customer and market developments to support forward-looking planning and resource allocation.
- Lead, coach, motivate, and develop direct and indirect reports in accordance with HR policies.
- Ensure the sales organization is properly structured, staffed, and directed to meet current and future business needs.
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the sales organization.
- Lead strategic and operational sales planning processes.
- Ensure disciplined execution of strategies and adherence to corporate governance requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience in sales, business development with Automotive OEM customers.
- 5+ years of related managerial experience.

- Ability to leverage data analytics and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to drive decision-making.
- Experience leading digital transformation or process digitalization initiatives.
- Understanding of aftermarket digital trends (e.g., e-commerce, predictive maintenance, connected products/IoT).
- Proven ability to translate business needs into automation and scalable digital solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree.
- Knowledge/experience in filtration (engineering, manufacturing, sales).
- OES or Automotive aftermarket experience.
- Spanish language skills.
