Director, Safety Scientist

For our client, we are seeking a Director Safety Scientist to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a life sciences environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $185,100 – $245,100 annually Responsibilities Lead evaluation of safety signals from various data sources Define methodologies for safety evaluations and data acquisition Collaborate with Safety Scientists and cross-functional teams for comprehensive analysis Oversee preparation of safety documentation for governance meetings and regulatory submissions Facilitate investigator training and support trial safety monitoring Analyze safety data for regulatory inquiries and safety updates Drive internal and external communications regarding safety assessments Qualifications Doctorate degree (PharmD, NP, RN, or PhD) and 8+ years in Safety Science role, or MD with clinical training and 6+ years in industry Strong clinical knowledge of various disease states and pharmacovigilance principles Experienced in managing multiple project deliverables simultaneously Familiar with global regulatory requirements and prior agency interactions Advanced proficiency in safety databases, data mining tools, and Microsoft Office Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA/HSA) Life insurance and paid time off Opportunities for employee stock ownership and discretionary equity awards Wellness programs and continuing employee development initiatives Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
