Director, Risk

About the role

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. Responsibilities

• Manage fraud risk strategy throughout the customer account lifecycle
• Define and oversee risk management controls and tolerances
• Create and execute a comprehensive risk roadmap focusing on fraud prevention
• Monitor and analyze risk trends to enhance strategies and responses
• Develop strong relationships with risk vendors and financial partners
• Build and mentor a small, scalable risk management team
• Establish a pragmatic, transparent risk culture within the organization

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in risk leadership, especially in fraud and payments
• Deep knowledge in regulations related to fraud and payments
• Undergraduate degree in quantitative fields like Statistics or Mathematics
• Expertise in quantitative and exploratory analysis
• Strong leadership skills with experience in driving organizational change

Pay

$220,000 – $280,000 annually
