HybridFinance$70/hrFull-time

Nooks is an applied AI lab building the Agent Workspace for GTM. We design AI agents that operate across the full sales action set, from account strategy to prospect research and outreach. Our mission is to 10x every seller by automating the busywork so they can focus on closing deals. Today, over 1,500 customers—including Notion, HubSpot, Cursor, and Rippling—run on Nooks. We’ve raised $70M+ from top VCs like Kleiner Perkins and tripled ARR each year for three years running.

About the role

The Director of Revenue Engineering leads the technical arm of Revenue Operations at Nooks. This team builds and runs the systems layer around our GTM organization: the revenue data platform, the automation that drives pipeline generation, and the deal infrastructure that turns pricing and packaging decisions into closed revenue.

You will manage a team of three: a GTM Engineer (pipeline generated per SDR), a Platform Engineer (HubSpot administration, revenue data warehouse, internal tooling), and a Deal Desk Lead (quote-to-sign, deal economics). You will also build the launch infrastructure that lets Nooks bring new products, pricing, and packaging to market quickly, with price books, approval flows, billing sync, and reporting ready on day one.

This is a player-coach role for an operator with real technical depth. You will report to the VP of Revenue Operations and work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Product/Engineering leadership. Hybrid work week with 3 days in-office expected (Mon, Tues, Thurs) in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Own the revenue data platform and deliver a reconciled close every quarter: one source of truth from CRM through billing to board reporting
  • Hire, manage, and develop the technical team within RevOps: GTM Engineer, Platform Engineer, and Deal Desk Lead
  • Be accountable for pipeline generated per SDR, delivered through the GTM Engineer and the automation and territory systems that role builds
  • Own deal economics through Deal Desk: pricing operationalization, approval matrices, quote-to-sign infrastructure, and realized discount rate
  • Build the product-launch rails that let new products, pricing, and packaging go live across GTM systems without a bespoke scramble each time
  • Own internal and board-level revenue reporting infrastructure in partnership with Finance
  • Set the build vs. buy strategy for the revenue tech stack and own the roadmap for internal automation and AI tooling
  • Establish engineering and data standards for the team: architecture reviews, documentation, reliability, and security practices
  • Partner with Sales and CS leadership to translate operating pain points into systems the team ships
  • Own the day-to-day operation of the revenue systems estate end to end, from production services to reporting

Requirements

  • You have owned a revenue technology stack end to end at a high-growth B2B SaaS company
  • You have hired and managed engineers or technical ICs and can evaluate their work directly
  • You have shipped and run a source-of-truth data platform where reported revenue numbers tied out, and you have run a close or sat directly accountable for one
  • You have built or run automation that moved a rep-productivity number: pipeline generation, deal velocity, seller efficiency
  • You have operationalized pricing or packaging changes into GTM systems: CPQ, approval flows, billing, reporting
  • You have spent enough time close to sellers to know how a territory dispute, a comp question, or a stuck deal actually plays out (or you’ve been a seller yourself)
  • You are technical enough to review architecture and code, commercial enough to run a deal desk, and clear enough with executives to defend a number and say what will break
  • You are comfortable operating in a fast-growing startup where you build the function while running it

Former founders, product leaders, and engineering leaders who have worked close to a revenue organization are all strong fits for this role.

Schedule

  • Hybrid work week with 3 days in-office expected (Mon, Tues, Thurs)
  • Occasional travel for team onsites, trainings, etc. may be expected
