Our client is a fast-growing, private equity backed hospitality services company operating a portfolio of brands across the United States. Growth comes from both organic expansion and acquisitions. As the lead people partner for a region, you will work with Regional VPs to find where talent is limiting results and build the programs that fix it. As the platform grows, this role is expected to build and lead a small regional team. What You Will Do Serve as a strategic advisor to Regional VPs, helping diagnose talent and organizational challenges and translating recommendations into measurable business outcomes. Own and execute the regional talent strategy, including talent reviews, succession planning, career development, and leadership pipeline development. Connect HR initiatives directly to business priorities, establishing clear objectives and measurable performance indicators. Lead the people and organizational integration of acquired businesses while preserving the strengths, culture, and identity of local brands. Design and launch people programs across a distributed, multi-site organization, then partner with centralized People teams to scale successful initiatives. Coach leaders on performance management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness while partnering with Legal and centralized Employee Relations teams on complex matters. What We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will bring a combination of operating, talent, HR leadership, and consulting capabilities. Strong candidates will typically demonstrate significant strength in at least three of these areas: Operating Leadership Experience directly leading a team, site, region, or P&L with responsibility for business results rather than serving solely in an HR support capacity. HR Leadership Proven experience leading HR teams, programs, and initiatives in complex or distributed organizations. Consulting Background in internal or external consulting, with the ability to assess complex organizational challenges, develop solutions, and influence senior stakeholders. Additional Qualifications Strong analytical capabilities and intellectual rigor, supported by a solid academic background; advanced education is valued. Demonstrated track record of business impact, including the ability to clearly articulate the objective, measurable outcome, scale of change, and personal contribution. Experience supporting multi-site, regional, or geographically dispersed organizations. Willingness and ability to travel regularly to regional markets. Experience in a private equity-backed, acquisition-focused, or high-growth environment is strongly preferred. Backgrounds That Can Thrive in This Role Management consultants at the Consultant, Project Leader, or Engagement Manager level who are looking to transition into an operating leadership position. Business operators who have transitioned into talent management or HR leadership. Analytical HR professionals from rotational or leadership development programs combining internal consulting and HR business partner responsibilities.
