Who we are

Rangerview is on a mission to build the foundry system that reindustrializes America. We exist to break the legacy manufacturing trap by reinventing critical production for the twenty-first century. Through advanced software, deep automation, breakthroughs in materials science, and modern financing strategies, Rangeview rewrites both the cost curve and the power structure of making metal parts.

What's in it for you

As the Director of Quality, you will be the primary architect of Rangeview's technical quality, reliability, and compliance ecosystem. You will build and scale the organization, systems, and processes required to ensure Rangeview's hardware consistently meets rigorous customer, industry, and regulatory requirements. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who can operate at both the strategic and tactical levels. You will define the long-term quality roadmap, build a world-class team, lead certification efforts, and work directly with engineering, manufacturing, operations, customers, and executive leadership to improve yield, prevent escapes, and resolve complex technical issues. You will ultimately own the "how" behind Rangeview's commitment to product quality and manufacturing reliability.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the leader accountable for the Quality organization and the primary point of ownership for product reliability, compliance, and certification activities.
  • Establish the organizational structure and recruit the personnel required to build a world-class quality team capable of supporting reliable, high-volume manufacturing.
  • Develop and scale Rangeview's quality-management systems, processes, standards, and operating procedures.
  • Lead certification and compliance efforts for applicable industry and customer standards, including AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP, and related requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, contractual, and regulatory requirements, including FAR and DFARS requirements where applicable.
  • Define the Quality organization's strategy, objectives, operating roadmap, and performance metrics in support of company and production targets.
  • Develop and justify departmental budgets, headcount plans, capital-expenditure proposals, and long-term investment strategies.
  • Manage executive communications and cross-functional relationships across engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, and leadership.
  • Develop clear and objective quality and reliability success criteria for products, processes, equipment, and production systems.
  • Establish process controls, inspection strategies, quality gates, and measurement systems that can scale across sites, product types, and organizations.
  • Drive improvements in production yield, throughput, scrap, rework, defect rates, and customer escapes.
  • Lead root-cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Own the resolution of process failures and ensure corrective actions address the ultimate root cause.
  • Build systems that proactively protect personnel safety, product quality, and customer reliability.
  • Lead customer, supplier, regulatory, and certification audits as required.
  • Establish effective systems for nonconformance management, material review, first-article inspection, calibration, metrology, and configuration control.
  • Develop and monitor quality KPIs, analyze technical data, and use objective findings to drive cross-functional decisions and improvement initiatives.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, mechanical, electrical, test, reliability, or quality engineering within aerospace, automotive, industrial, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing engineers or technical quality teams.
  • Demonstrated experience building, scaling, or leading a quality organization in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production quality, process controls, corrective actions, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience aggregating and analyzing technical and production data to make objective decisions and drive cross-functional improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve and scale production throughput, yield, reliability, and quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to clearly and concisely communicate complex technical information to executive leadership, customers, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leading high-impact technical investigations and resolving complex product or process failures.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with evolving systems, processes, and organizational needs.

Preferred qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience implementing or maintaining compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Experience leading an organization through AS9100 certification or recertification.
  • Experience with NADCAP certification or special-process accreditation.
  • Knowledge of AS9102 first-article inspection requirements.
  • Experience with nonconformance, material review board, CAPA, supplier quality, and customer-quality systems.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse-management, manufacturing-execution, and quality-management systems.
  • Experience selecting, implementing, or scaling WMS, MES, or QMS platforms.
  • Experience with metrology, inspection, calibration, and measurement systems.
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, automotive, or other high-reliability hardware programs.
  • Experience managing supplier-quality programs and supplier corrective actions.
  • 2+ years of experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing departmental budgets, capital-expenditure proposals, and resource allocation.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous-improvement experience.
