About the Role
The Director, Project Management oversees the Project Management team and the planning, implementation, and tracking of our Med-Metrix Suite of Products and Services.
Responsibilities
- Work with a cross-functional team comprised of MMX teammates and client stakeholders to plan, coordinate, implement, and finalize projects according to specifications and deadlines while keeping the project within budget.
- Collaborate with MMX sales, data, operations, and technical stakeholders to define project objectives, create schedules, and oversee quality control throughout the project.
- Attain resources, manage the MMX team, clients, and any third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
- Identify, assess, and minimize project risks until successful project completion.
- Collaborate with senior management to define the scope of the project.
- Create detailed project plans identifying and sequencing activities needed to successfully complete the project.
- Determine the resources required to complete the project.
- Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates resources to activities.
- Review the project schedule with senior management and affected staff; revise as required.
- Determine objectives and measures for evaluating project completion.
- Manage project staff (internal and external) according to established policies and practices.
- Ensure all project personnel receive appropriate orientation to the organization and the project.
- Execute the project according to the project plan.
- Develop forms and records to document project activities.
- Set up files to ensure all project information is appropriately documented and secured.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
- Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on project progress.
- Review the quality of work completed with the project team regularly to ensure it meets project standards.
- Write reports on the project for management and communicate with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor all budgeted project expenditures and ensure financial records are up to date (e.g., Clicktime).
- Ensure project deliverables are on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
- Evaluate project outcomes as established during the planning phase.
- Escalate outstanding items and identified risks in a timely manner to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure remote client access is disabled for terminated or transferred employees when applicable.
- Understand and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures at all times; ensure direct reports are trained and compliant.
- Use, protect, and disclose patients’ protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with HIPAA standards and enforce such for all direct reports.
- Limit viewing of PHI to the absolute minimum necessary to perform assigned duties.
- Report any security or HIPAA violations or concerns for your team to the HIPAA Officers in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Ability to speak, listen, and write clearly and thoroughly using appropriate communication tools and techniques.
- Ability to develop new and unique ways to improve organizational operations and create new opportunities.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Positively influence others to achieve results in the best interest of the organization.
- Assess situations to determine importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear, timely decisions.
- Set priorities, develop work schedules, monitor progress, and track details/data/information/activities.
- Determine strategies to move the organization forward, set goals, create and implement action plans, and evaluate processes and results.
- Experience with classroom-based software training, preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to lead cross-functional internal and external calls with confidence.
- Independent and self-motivated.
- Energetic with a strong desire to learn.
Working Conditions
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overtime when needed.
- Travel to client sites will be required.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to move around the work area.
- Sit, perform manual tasks, and operate tools and office equipment such as computers, peripherals, and telephones.
- Extend arms, kneel, talk, and hear.
Mental Demands
- Must be able to follow directions, collaborate with others, and handle stress.
