About the Team
The AECG - Embedded Team builds and optimizes platforms for embedded and commercial applications, working across silicon, firmware, and software to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions at scale.
Responsibilities
- Lead the product program management team with exceptional leadership and scale the team in competency and bandwidth for an increasing number and scope of programs.
- Provide strong oversight and guidance to all program managers for different product line programs and drive resolution of dependencies or bottlenecks.
- Ensure programs follow execution metrics and address changes with agility and quick planning.
- Coordinate and drive concept, feasibility, and planning exit milestones, securing approvals from senior management for gate reviews.
- Drive key initiatives for business unit challenges, such as yield improvements, improving DPPMs, and adopting methodologies like ASPICE.
- Prepare end-to-end plans starting with NPI phases for planning and execution, extending through post-NPI phases of derivative programs.
- Craft and deploy lightweight processes to enhance execution focus and efficiency, leading adoption across the program management organization.
- Manage and handle escalations with urgency and proactive problem-solving.
- Prepare and present program status reports to executives, highlighting risks and providing data for decision-making.
- Drive cross-functional alignment among teams, including other program managers.
- Share best practices with other product program management organizations.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a similar role within semiconductor companies; x86 product program management experience is a plus.
- Experience leading a team of NPI program managers at the director level or above, including creating and deploying processes for efficiency and scale.
- Strong program management and execution skills, with proficiency in various project management tools.
- Broad and strong technical knowledge (SoC, BIOS, platforms, software, tools, manufacturing) and experience across the entire product stack, not limited to silicon.
- Proven track record of enabling multiple NPI programs resulting in successful products.
- Experience working in a multisite and multicultural environment; ability to travel as needed.
- Team player with a passion and drive to do whatever it takes for business success.
- Automotive product experience is a significant plus.
- Excellent communication skills, including managing up with data and reports for executive visibility and decision-making.
- Ability to align, resolve conflicts, and build consensus among stakeholders.
- High sense of urgency and drive for results.
- Relentless focus on customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- PMP certification is a plus.
