About the role

Pharos Systems International is the leader in PrintOps, the integrated, user‑centric, and cloud‑native approach to managing printing and the infrastructure and operations behind it. Pharos' modern print management software empowers enterprises to reduce costs, strengthen security, and support today's hybrid workforce with simple, reliable, and scalable printing solutions. Trusted by thousands of organizations, including many of the world's largest Fortune 500 companies, Pharos has helped eliminate print servers, cut millions in print‑related spend, and accelerate the transition to cloud‑based infrastructure. Headquartered in Rochester, NY, Pharos has been delivering innovative print management solutions and measurable ROI since 1992. Pharos has an early proof of concept in security and real conviction about where the market is headed. What we don't have yet is proof it holds up at scale, or a repeatable way to turn that thesis into a validated business. That gap is exactly why this role exists.

Responsibilities

  • Own the market thesis: define the real buyer, what they’re willing to pay for, and what the product will deliberately not attempt.
  • Drive the path from an early proof of concept to something multiple paying customers can rely on.
  • Work hands‑on with Engineering on epics, prototypes, requirements, and implementation tradeoffs.
  • Build the go‑to‑market motion: positioning, packaging, pricing input, and turning pilots into paying customers.
  • Provide a fast, honest read on what’s working and what isn’t, reporting straight to the CEO without waiting for a perfect plan.

Requirements

  • Built and shipped something from zero to one, not just contributed to an already‑mature product line.
  • Worked directly with customers to test whether a problem is real and worth paying to solve, not just gathered requirements secondhand.
  • Gotten into the technical details yourself: a prototype, a proof of concept, a spec you wrote and then helped build.
  • Made a real call with incomplete information and lived with the outcome, good or bad.
  • Reach for AI as a normal part of how you think through a problem, not as a novelty.
  • Comfortable being the person who validates the market, not just executing inside a market someone else already proved.
  • Prefer to stay hands‑on with prototypes and implementation rather than only directing others.

Benefits

  • Medical and dental coverage
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off (PTO)
  • Recognized as a Great Benefits employer by Mployer
  • Named a Top Place to Work by USA Today

Pay

$165,000 - $170,000 base salary

Schedule

Flexible hours; US Remote (must live in and be eligible to work in the United States)
