About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Product Management in Research to own and lead our GenAI Imaging Models roadmap. You are someone passionate about photography, deeply familiar with creator workflows, and aware of the demands these workflows place on GenAI imaging models. You have a strong understanding of generative AI technologies and their future trajectory. You will collaborate closely with our Research, Applied Science, and App teams to develop a bold vision, guide strategy, and execute on a roadmap.

This role requires exercising strong judgment on when to build our own models (Firefly) versus partnering with third-party models, and how to harness both complementarily to power our creators’ workflows. You will be an accomplished product management leader with a proven track record in building generative AI capabilities or products for creatives, as well as an experienced people manager who leads with empathy and has a strong approach to hiring, growing, and developing talent.

Responsibilities

  • Define a vision while driving roadmap definition and prioritization
  • Engage with users to develop a strong point of view on their problems and translate these into clear, prioritized opportunities for the business
  • Identify trends in research and AI that will unlock new possibilities for users and the business
  • Document detailed requirements, including functional specifications, required analytics, and workflows for the engineering team
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate success, using data to identify new opportunities
  • Understand the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for differentiation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of proven experience in product management
  • Prior experience in the generative AI space, building products
  • Passion for and understanding of creators and their workflows
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into product requirements
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across functional and organizational boundaries
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
  • Passion for crafting outstanding partner experiences and driving business growth through strategic integrations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with generative AI
  • Experience building tools for creatives and designers

Pay

The U.S. pay range for this position is $172,400 – $334,500 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

  • In California, the pay range for this position is $231,000 – $334,500.
  • In Washington, the pay range for this position is $211,000 – $305,500.

For sales roles, starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. For non-sales roles, starting salaries are expressed as base salary, and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). Certain roles may also be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
