Director, Product Engineering

Overview About the role As Director, Product Engineering supporting Paragon TMS in Alpharetta, GA, you will lead product engineering for the transportation management software portfolio. You will set technical direction, develop engineering talent, and create an execution culture grounded in sound judgment, customer impact, and continuous improvement. You will partner with product and customer-facing teams to deliver reliable software capabilities. Key Responsibilities Set engineering strategy, architecture direction, delivery standards, and priorities for Paragon TMSLead, coach, and develop engineering managers and engineersPartner with product and customer-facing teams to understand customer problemsManage engineering capacity, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitmentsChampion reliability, maintainability, technical excellence, and recurring-issue reduction About You You use data, customer evidence, and technical judgment to make decisions when requirements or constraints are not fully defined. You communicate progress, tradeoffs, risks, and decisions clearly to senior stakeholders and executive leadership. You build strong partnerships across global teams and contribute to engineering standards beyond your immediate product area.
