Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies for the traffic and surveillance product lines.
  • Manage product lifecycle from ideation to retirement, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product features and drive successful product launches.
  • Drive OEM and Aftermarket / RMU demand to achieve AOP.

Product Strategy and Roadmap Development

  • Develop and execute the overall strategy for the company’s product portfolio encompassing both existing and new offerings.
  • Understand market needs, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities to define the direction of the business.
  • Define and prioritize portfolio investments based on strategic fit, market potential, and financial viability.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of products within the portfolio, from concept development through end-of-life decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, engineering, marketing, sales, operations) to define product roadmaps, feature enhancements, and product differentiation strategies.
  • Maintain and monitor product performance metrics, including revenue growth, profitability, and market share, and make data-driven decisions to optimize portfolio performance.

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and senior management on portfolio strategy, performance, and market dynamics.
  • Foster collaboration and alignment across functions to drive portfolio growth and profitability.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and key customers to drive co-development opportunities and enhance product offerings.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency within the portfolio.
  • Stay in touch with industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
  • Champion a culture of innovation and excellence within the offering management team, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in product management or portfolio management roles, ideally in an Avionics product line.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Strong business / financial acumen and experience with green-sheets.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management and strategic planning.
