Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies for the traffic and surveillance product lines.
- Manage product lifecycle from ideation to retirement, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product features and drive successful product launches.
- Drive OEM and Aftermarket / RMU demand to achieve AOP.
Product Strategy and Roadmap Development
- Develop and execute the overall strategy for the company’s product portfolio encompassing both existing and new offerings.
- Understand market needs, competitive landscape, and internal capabilities to define the direction of the business.
- Define and prioritize portfolio investments based on strategic fit, market potential, and financial viability.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of products within the portfolio, from concept development through end-of-life decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, engineering, marketing, sales, operations) to define product roadmaps, feature enhancements, and product differentiation strategies.
- Maintain and monitor product performance metrics, including revenue growth, profitability, and market share, and make data-driven decisions to optimize portfolio performance.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership and senior management on portfolio strategy, performance, and market dynamics.
- Foster collaboration and alignment across functions to drive portfolio growth and profitability.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and key customers to drive co-development opportunities and enhance product offerings.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency within the portfolio.
- Stay in touch with industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
- Champion a culture of innovation and excellence within the offering management team, encouraging creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in product management or portfolio management roles, ideally in an Avionics product line.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to inspire cross-functional teams.
- Ability to analyze market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
- Strong business / financial acumen and experience with green-sheets.
- Experience with product lifecycle management and strategic planning.
