Seeking a dynamic Director of Planned Giving to lead fundraising efforts focused on long-term support for Kennedy Krieger Institute. Ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of planned giving relationships, develop strategies for increasing major gifts, and oversee the implementation of planned giving programs.

About the role

As a key member of the Institutional Advancement team, the Director of Planned Giving will play a vital role in advancing the Institute's mission through philanthropic support. This position reports to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive planned giving strategies to increase major gift revenue
• Manage a portfolio of high-value planned giving relationships
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and pursue potential donors
• Oversee the development and implementation of planned giving programs
• Manage donor communications and stewardship activities
• Stay current with trends and best practices in planned giving

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, preferably in a planned giving capacity
• Proven track record of successful fundraising and donor cultivation
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with major gift prospect identification and solicitation

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal tax laws and charitable giving incentives
• Experience with donor management systems
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed
