Seeking a dynamic Director of Planned Giving to lead fundraising efforts focused on long-term support for Kennedy Krieger Institute. Ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of planned giving relationships, develop strategies for increasing major gifts, and oversee the implementation of planned giving programs.
About the role
As a key member of the Institutional Advancement team, the Director of Planned Giving will play a vital role in advancing the Institute's mission through philanthropic support. This position reports to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive planned giving strategies to increase major gift revenue
- Manage a portfolio of high-value planned giving relationships
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and pursue potential donors
- Oversee the development and implementation of planned giving programs
- Manage donor communications and stewardship activities
- Stay current with trends and best practices in planned giving
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, preferably in a planned giving capacity
- Proven track record of successful fundraising and donor cultivation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with major gift prospect identification and solicitation
- Knowledge of federal tax laws and charitable giving incentives
- Experience with donor management systems
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
