About the Role
The GEICO Physical Damage team is looking for an exceptional leader to oversee the daily operations of our Physical Damage adjusting team. As a Physical Damage Director, you will own the day-to-day activities of your assigned territory/area of responsibility and manage claims severity, rental car management, and relationship management with all internal and external customers including but not limited to GEICO policy holders, claimants, GEICO partners, and body shops through the territory.
You will provide guidance and counsel on employee performance and support all matters of the employee life cycle from recruitment to performance evaluation and termination reviews. This position will oversee approximately 6-8 direct reports (management level) and up to 100 indirect reports. Some travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the Physical Damage adjusting team within your assigned territory
- Manage claims severity and rental car operations
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, including policy holders, claimants, partners, and body shops
- Provide leadership, guidance, and performance counsel to employees
- Support the full employee life cycle: recruitment, performance evaluation, and termination reviews
- Lead and direct a team of 6-8 direct reports and up to 100 indirect reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field
- 5+ years of prior leadership experience
- I-CAR certification preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Pay
Annual salary range: $113,775.00 - $202,950.00. The final salary will be determined based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, training, work location, and market/business considerations.
