Director PB Coding & CDI

About the role

This role will lead continuous improvement work focused on process discipline, productivity, and measurable operating gains. You will partner with operational leaders and project stakeholders to standardize workflows, identify bottlenecks, and improve execution quality. The position offers the opportunity to create measurable efficiency gains and scalable operational improvements within a healthcare environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Establish and evaluate PB coding and CDI processes organization-wide
• Supervise Professional Billing Coding and CDI staff, overseeing performance and audits
• Provide education and training to ensure accuracy and adherence to requirements
• Manage operations and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executives and healthcare providers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or similar; experience may substitute for degree
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification required
• Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred
• Preferred credentials include CCS-P, CPC, CCS, or CPC-H
• 5+ years of supervisory or lead experience in coding or a related area
• 8+ years of experience in hospital or professional coding

Pay

$104,666 – $150,612 annually
