Director, Organizational Effectiveness

About the Role

The Director, Organizational Effectiveness oversees the Performance Improvement group, including the corrective action programs at the Davis Besse Nuclear Power Plant, to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation. This role also oversees the Emergency Planning and Security programs, as well as Leadership development and assessment, and leads the station’s ongoing Operations Performance Improvement (OPI) program.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve personnel and plant performance to ensure Davis Besse is operated and maintained in accordance with the operating license, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and other federal regulations, including state of Ohio regulations and permits, industry codes and standards, and Luminant requirements.
• Provide oversight of the Performance Improvement department.
• Oversee the emergency planning staff in maintaining the Emergency Preparedness Program to protect the health and safety of the public and station employees in the event of an emergency.
• Oversee the management and administration of the DBES Security Organization.

Requirements

• 9–10 years of relevant business and management experience.
• 10+ years of either commercial or Navy nuclear experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with emphasis on issue identification, structuring, and creativity.
• Strong quantitative skills and business acumen.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
