Director Operations Neurology/Neuroscience Institute/Neuro Surgery

Full-time, 1.00 FTE, Day shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
About the role
Directs the strategy, growth, and operational objectives of the Neurology & Neuroscience and Neuro Surgery Operations within the organization. Provides daily operational oversight in all areas including clinical offices, support services, patient care areas, and College of Medicine (COM) staff, including research labs. Collaborates with Neuroscience core departments: Neural and Behavioral Science, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and multidisciplinary centers of excellence (spine, stroke, pain, epilepsy, etc.) across Penn State Health. Interfaces and partners with affiliate departments and faculty. Provides operational oversight for the Penn State Clinical Neurophysiology Lab.
Requirements
- A master's degree in healthcare administration, finance, health policy, public health, or a related field emphasizing management and accounting.
- Seven years of related experience.
- Minimum of five years of managerial experience in healthcare administration.
- Documented successful clinical and/or academic management experience, both operational and fiscal, including prior Profit & Loss responsibilities.
- Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning in healthcare management, including resource allocation processes.
- Operational understanding of the academic setting and administration, its diverse constituents, and complex healthcare organizational structures.
